New Silent Hill: Revelation updates!

 As we get closer to October, the release date for the next Silent Hill movie draws closer as does Halloween! Here's some cool new stuff that has been releasing!

A new poster was revealed. It is a lentricular 3-D one that you will probably be able to find in various theaters.


A different poster of a monster character, likely played by Malcolm McDowell, was revealed at the 2012 San Diego Comicon.


A bunch of new promotional images from the movie were also made available, you can find them here.

And anyone looking forward to some samplings of music from the soundtrack ought to head over to Jeff Dana's website where you can hear two pieces of music and even see a trailer medley! The music of the film will largely be new tracks composed by Jeff Dana who composed some new tracks and largely remixed the game's soundtracks for the first film. Akira Yamaoka, who composed and directed the sound for the video games is collaborating with Jeff Dana on the new film and will be providing a few new tracks and samples for Jeff Dana. Old favorite songs from the games will also be sampled and used in the new film! The soundtrack will likely see release in stores and may also include the compositions from the first film.

The filmmakers tried to also get the game's monster and character designer Masahiro Ito on board, but he unfortunately declined as he had committed himself to other projects. In some other game related news, word is quickly spreading that Hideo Kojima, the creator of Metal Gear Solid is working together with Konami and his team at Kojima Productions to possibly create a new Silent Hill game in Japan utilizing the FOX Engine that was recently debuted in production alongside the new Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes!
