The Hobbit - 1st Production Diary

Here's our first lengthy behind-the-scenes look at the filming of 'The Hobbit' the prequel to 'The Lord of the Rings.' Peter Jackson himself takes us on a tour of WETA Workshop, the sets, the costumes, the props and other magical things. See it for yourself below:

Recently it was revealed that the Hobbit would be filming in 3-D at 48 frames per second. The first major film production to double the framerate for better quality shots and especially a smoother 3-D experience in anticipation of theater chains updating their projectors to play films at higher framerates. So there's a lot to look forward to from this one!
