Kojima Productions are back!

Since this is a big story that no doubt many are following, there's good news now! Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, along with other staff members such as concept artist and illustrator Yoji Shinkawa have finally ended their relationship with Konami and have reformed 'Kojima Productions' as it's own independent studio! They are looking to start small and grow from there with their first game coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 with the possibility of a PC release later. So check out the announcement videos as well as  the new logo up there designed by Shinkawa. Head over to their website for more insight on who they are now and what they're up to!

Titles like 'Metal Gear Solid' & 'Silent Hill' still remain under Konami's control, and while it's unlikely either Kojima or Shinkawa will work on those beloved series again, I'm sure we all look forward to see what new innovative games they can make!

There's no word right now on what they are making and they're still hiring. As well they no longer have access to the FOX Engine anymore so they are currently also deciding what they will do with concern to that. It may be a little while until we finally see what they're up to, but here's hoping that in the future Kojima can once again reunite with Guillermo Del Toro, Junji Ito & Norman Reedus to work on a horror game of some kind!
