At Sony's Gamescom Press Conference following Kojima's short MGSV presentation, a mysterious announcement was made by Sony for a free demo made available immediately on the store for PS4 owners to download and play. It's a short horror game that has players scratching their heads and collaborating online to solve. Completing it reveals a special surprise!
If you don't want to play it to find out, hit the jump to see the mystery behind it!
As it turns out, the ending of the demo, referred to as a Playable Teaser (P.T.), like a teaser trailer for a film, is a teaser for an upcoming new Silent Hill game! Made by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro! And features The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus as the main character!
The name of the demo (or perhaps even the upcoming game itself) is in the plural for 'Silent Hills.' Kojima says this refers to "multiple scariness", but could it also be a name change indicating a reboot? Who knows? More information will be revealed in the future, but the game likely won't arrive until sometime in 2016 at the earliest. Still, exciting way of making an announcement, no?
