Calling All Artists: Mighty Muggs Art Show

Attention Artists: The Labyrinth is looking for people interested in participating in our upcoming Mighty Muggs Art Show.

What are Mighty Muggs?

They are a series of toys, that all have the same form, but with different detailing which results in them becoming different characters. We sell a lot of them in shop including renditions of GI Joe, Transformers, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Marvel Superheroes. If you're near the store, stop by and see some of the official figures for yourself.

Next Wednesday we will be getting Blank Figures in. We would like to have an artshow that showcases original designs over top the blank figures.

the images above show:
1. Blank Figure - this is what you get as your canvas
2. customized figures I found online. People are already taking existing figures, and completely re-imagining them with characters that are not official mighty muggs items.

You are free to do whatever you want in terms of detailing the figure. Original characters of your own, or renditions of existing characters that you would like to try out are both acceptable. You can use paint, markers,.. glue on props, etc.. the more creative, the better.

The deadline will be announced soon, but expect to have about 1 month or so to do the work.

Once all the figures are in, we will host an art show to showcase all the customized figures in our shop. Anyone can enter, but we reserve the right to choose which figures goes in and which don't. If your creation looks good, we will not refuse it. We know that's subjective, but that's how it has to be.

If you have questions, email us at: info@thelabyrinthstore.com

Blank Figures will be availble for sale on Wednesday april 30th.

If your figure ends up being accepted in our artshow - you will have the option of putting it up for auction with proceeds going to charity. Should you choose to do this, the Labyrinth will provide you with a store credit for the amount you paid in buying the figure from us in the first place.

PLEASE Forward this posting to anyone you feel might be interested in participating.
