For all of you theater lovers, here's a look at what Dolby is up to with regards to improving the experience of Surround Sound in the theaters! They're attempting to improve the precision of sound through their large multi-speaker systems such that you can get a more realistic experience of things moving around you and also experience things like rainfall or someone walking on a creaking floor above you! They'll be rolling out Dolby 'ATMOS' (Short for Atmosphere I think) in select theaters beginning with Pixar's BRAVE! Those of you in Toronto can experience it at the 'SilverCity-Yonge Eglinton Cinemas' when BRAVE releases! For a full list of current theaters worldwide that'll have this system in place, go here.
