NINJA ASSASSIN


Releasing this Wednesday is 'Ninja Assassin' a violent action film directed by James McTeigue and produced by the Wachowski Brothers and Joel Silver. McTeigue was a 2nd unit director for the Wachowskis on the Matrix Trilogy and for Speed Racer and got his first directorial debut with the adaptation of Alan Moore's V for Vendetta.



McTeigue's new film is inspired by martial arts flicks and anime such as Ninja Scroll and he tries to bring the anime violence and aesthetics into live action to create an intense action flick that combines various styles of martial arts, parkour and stylized ninja arts and fight sequences. The film stars Korean pop star 'Rain' who trained intensely for this movie and who North American audiences were first introduced to in Speed Racer.
