'TRIGUN: Badlands Rumble' in select Canadian theaters today!

The new Trigun movie will be playing for one day only in select Canadian theaters today, Wednesday June 22nd at 7pm. The screenings will be in original Japanese language with English subtitles. For a list of theaters playing it, go here! In Toronto it'll be playing at the Scotiabank Theater downtown and at the Queensway Cineplex Odeon Theater. People in the U.S. can expect more details on a U.S. screening coming later this month from Funimation.

My Daily zoo workbook looks like a kids art instruction book, but its so good, grown ups and artists who love animals definately need to consider adding this one to their shelves. Real nice stuff.

If you dont already know Edmund Dulac, but you are a fan of Arthur Rackham or James Jean, you really need to get introduced. this volume is double the thickness of the previous Dulac book, but the price is low low low.

Study: Roman Soldiers around Gaul largely suffer from brain injuries

A study by German researchers has concluded what many Asterix fans have long suspected: Traumatic brain injuries were rampant among Roman soldiers stationed in northwestern Gaul around 50 B.C. Blade Anime!

Here's a trailer for the Blade anime series that will be debuting in Japan soon, part of the current partnership between Marvel and Madhouse to bring Marvel characters such as Iron Man and the X-Men to Japanese audiences!

Bloor Street Festival - SALE TODAY!

DONT FORGET - THIS SUNDAY JUNE 12TH. The Festival on Bloor is happening outside our doors. Bloor will be closed to cars from Bathurst to Spadina. This is a fun event for the entire family, with kid activities, food and various craft vendors. The Labyrinth will be participating with 2 booths of 40% OFF Graphic Novels. Freelance Blues!‏

Freelance Blues is a supernatural comedy about the perils of work; about a guy named Lance, for whom every time he gets a job, his bosses turn out to be evil. So he's got to kill his bosses, save his co-workers and get a new job.

It's created by Ian Daffern with co-creator Mike Leone and has been self-published since 2008 and sold at conventions with the hopes of getting it into local Toronto Comic stores. The artist is Vicki Tierney, who is based out of Long Island, the cover artists are Steve Sayer and John Lang.

More than thirty years after his death, iconic American artist Norman Rockwell’s art is still enormously popular. This invitational group exhibition examines the enduring themes represented in the art of Norman Rockwell–patriotism, family and the American ideal–through the works of 40 contemporary artists and illustrators.

Opening Reception: Thursday . July 7 . 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
The opening reception will feature two barbershop quartets, The Gaslight Revue and WYSIWYG, performing classic songs from the Great American Songbook. Also, the Capital Photobooth Company is donating a vintage style photobooth for guests at the event to capture the moment. The exhibit will be open from July 7 - September 25 . $5 Suggested Donation
